For the world boxing heavyweight division championship fight on 7 July 2012, Infront, through its subsidiary InfrontRingier, ensured the event’s success through its event handling, management and delivery capabilities.
Infront takes on a heavy weight division
When Wladimir Klitschko defended his IBF, WBA, WBO and IBO titles against challenger Tony Thompson at the Stade de Suisse in Bern, Infront was entrusted to organise the show and sports event in cooperation with the boxing champion's Klitschko Management Group (KMG). All event coordination, cross media promotion, ticketing management, hospitality, television distribution and after-fight celebrations were under Infront’s responsibility.
A huge sports spectacle and highlight for Switzerland
The Swiss newspaper Blick promoted the event as media partner along with other print, radio and television advertising campaigns handled by Infront. The TV station RTL - Germany's largest private free-to-air national broadcaster provided in-depth coverage to almost 8.5 million across Germany, Switzerland and Austria. Stretching out over five rounds - the competitive spirit of the fight and ambiance at the Stade de Suisse was broadcast to over 150 channels worldwide. Infront organised an extensive show program with music and entertainment leading up to the fight, resulting in over 22,000 spectators and a complete sell out with VIP hospitality.
