Infront has been expanding rapidly, both organically and through strategic acquisition. We have focused on dynamic areas such as Asia, where we see exciting and challenging prospects for growth in marketing partnerships and specialised services to sport.

 

Infront has two sports marketing agencies in the Nordic region as well as owning a major operation in the important Italian market. The Group also has majority stakes in the Rome-based FGSPORT Group, promoter of the FIM Superbike World Championship, and the Austrian agency APF. 

 

Infront has over 400 employees across the group, with offices/subsidiaries in eleven countries.

Infront Archive Management

The Infront Archive Management manages, on behalf of FIFA, FIFA Films, the official FIFA footage archive. It handles the customised production and sales worldwide of FIFA footage, including FIFA Official Films, television coverage of previous FIFA World Cups™ and the other FIFA Events.

Infront Finland

Infront Finland is a subsidiary of Infront. It is involved in many of the leading international sports and culture events in Finland – including the recent 2005 IAAF World Championships - and its partnerships with ice hockey, football, skiing and handball federations complement Infront's international involvement in these sports. The company co-promotes two important local events - the GE Money Grand Prix in athletics and the LET Finnair Masters in golf.

Infront Germany

In June 2007 Infront Sports & Media acquired 100% of the shares of Frankfurt-based sports marketing agency DSM Sportwerbung. As former sports advertising unit of DSM Deutsche Städte-Medien, Infront Germany is one of the leading companies in the stadium advertising industry, with a reputation dating back for 30 years. It currently markets the stadium advertising rights of four clubs of the German Bundesliga, including three of the top eight clubs: Werder Bremen (Weser Stadion), FC Schalke 04 (Veltins Arena), VfL Bochum (rewirpowerSTADION) and Hansa Rostock (Ostseestadion), recently promoted from the 2nd Division of the German League. In Rostock Infront Germany also offers first-class hospitality opportunities.

Infront Italy

Infront Italy was established in 2007, following Infront’s acquisition of a 100% shareholding in Media Partners, one of the leading companies for worldwide management and sales of sports media rights, founded in 1995 and based in Milan, Italy.
Infront Italy handles the management and marketing of the broadcast rights, the new media rights and majority of the marketing rights for the FIS Alpine and Nordic Ski World Cup, together with the FIS Snowboard and Freestyle World Cup events. The company holds an extensive portfolio of media – including the CEV European Volleyball Championship – and new media rights in various categories (e.g. IPTV and UMTS), including matches of Italian football’s Serie A, Serie B and Serie C clubs. It also looks after the post-production of several Serie A, B and C matches each season.
The acquisition of Media Partners has strengthened Infront’s leading position in winter sports and host broadcast production. There are also important synergies with its advanced expertise in new media rights.

 

Infront Sweden

Infront Sweden is a subsidiary of Infront, with strength in event marketing, hospitality and travel in the Swedish market. Its clients include the Swedish Ice Hockey Association and the Swedish Football Association. It provides services for major sport and entertainment events, including the packaging of event tickets, travel and hospitality for sale to Swedish companies.

APF Marketing Services

APF is a subsidiary of the Infront Group, following Infront’s acquisition of a majority stake in 2005. APF, based in Austria, is a leader in the marketing of winter sports. It holds the marketing rights to the biennial FIS Alpine World Ski Championships and the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships, starting with the 2007 events in Are (Sweden) and Sapporo (Japan).  APF also holds the major marketing rights of the IBU World Cup Biathlon including the yearly World Championships. Other partnerships include the Austrian Football Federation (ÖFB), the Austrian public broadcaster ORF and the Austrian Olympic Committee (ÖOC).

Empire of Sports Ltd.

Empire of Sports Ltd. is a joint venture company controlled by Infront Sports & Media. It has been formed with F4, a leading video game development company known for its expertise for online worlds and state-of-the-art graphics, to develop and build “Empire of Sports” – a huge online sports gaming platform. The company’s headquarters is based in Zug, Switzerland; the F4 development office is based in Paris, France.
Empire of Sports is the world’s first massive multi-player online role-playing game platform (MMORPG) built entirely around sport. It is designed to allow millions of players around the world to simultaneously exist in an online universe, where their alter egos socially interact, train, compete, attend events and buy the goods and services they need to build a parallel sporting existence.

FG Sport Group

FG Sport joined the Infront Group following Infront’s acquisition of a majority stake in May 2007. FG Sport is the promoter of the HANNSpree Superbike World Championship and partner of the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM) since 1989. The company has its headquarters in Rome and is managed by Maurizio and Paolo Alberto Flammini. FG Sport has developed the Superbike World Championship into one of the motor racing’s premier and fastest growing events.

 

The series is the only Road Racing World Championship using production motorcycles. The 2008 championship is the 21th racing season in the history of the event consisting of 15 races staged in 13 countries. 130 permanent riders from 19 countries compete in the three classes of the Championship (Superbike – Supersport – Superstock). The series is highly popular with fans, manufacturers, broadcasters and commercial partners.

Host Broadcast Services

Host Broadcast Services (HBS) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Infront Sports & Media. Responsible for the host broadcast of the 2006 FIFA World Cup™, the FIFA Confederations Cup and other FIFA events, it is virtually unique, as a dedicated and highly specialised host broadcast organisation that can work anywhere in the world.  It has recently been appointed in an on-going role to handle the host broadcast of the 2010 FIFA World Cup™ in South Africa, in recognition of its unique heritage of experience.

Walch’s Event Hospitality

As part of the Infront Group, Austria-based Walch’s Event Hospitality GmbH is an internationally recognised full-service hospitality operation for major sports events. The company has global network capabilities and provides clients with a range of hospitality options, from concept development to full implementation and management.


The current client list of Walch’s Event Hospitality is an impressive one in the context of sport and includes BMW Sauber Formula One Team (Hospitality worldwide), Audi (VIP and team Catering at 24 Hours of Le Mans race), BMW Oracle Team (America's Cup 2007) and DTM Hospitality among others. The company also provides services to events of the Infront portfolio, such as the IIHF World Championship – where it has been involved since the 2005 event – and the 2007 FIS Alpine Ski World Championship in Åre, Sweden.

Infront China

Infront is an established player in China with the foremost experience and highest profile rights portfolio. It has a strong presence in Beijing, with 50 experienced personnel and direct access to the government at Board and management level. Infront's Beijing based team works with the Chinese Football Association (CFA) and the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA), where Infront China have a ground-breaking joint venture to exploit the professional league’s commercial rights. Infront's China subsidiary are also supporting the first Chinese Challenge in the history of the America’s Cup. Furthermore Infront has established its European Centre of Competence, a "gateway" to sports opportunities in China that offers an access point for Europe-based companies and federations/properties seeking entry into this important growth market. The Competence Centre also consults rights holders and commercial partners in all China-related sports questions.
