Infront's Subsidiary Management

Infront currently has 20 subsidiary offices worldwide. The Infront strategy focuses on developing a strong base of national and regional businesses to compliment the Group's international portfolio and professional services.

 

The management of Infront's subsidiary offices represent a considerable level of proven sports industry experience.

Infront Austria

Stefan Krauss, Managing Director
Stefan Krauss has almost 30 years experience in winter sports as a ski athlete, coach, official and marketing expert. From May 2008, he worked with the German Ski Federation (DSV) in the role of Managing Director of DSV Marketing GmbH. Before this, he was General Secretary and Sports Director for the Bobsleigh and Luge Federation of Germany (BSD) for nine years. He has been a member of the International Bobsleigh and Skeleton Federation (FIBT) Executive Committee since 2002 and, from 2006, he also held the position of FIBT Vice President of Marketing. As Managing Director of Infront Austria, Stefan leads an experienced team of over 20 employees and directs all central projects of the subsidiary.

 


Michael Witta, Managing Director

Michael Witta  has worked in sports marketing for over 10  years. He began his career  at IMG(International Management Group) where from 2000, he acted as the leading Project Manager for FC Köln. Later Michael was promoted to Director of Winter Sports. Michael joined Infront Sports & Media in 2008 and is responsible for the sponsorship sales of the Audi FIS Ski World Cup events, which are centrally marketed by Infront. From Spring 2012, he has also shared the leadership of Infront Austria alongside Stefan Kraus. Michael's role is focused on Marketing & Sales for the Austrian subsidiary.


Infront China

Ma Guoli, CEO & Managing Director

Ma Guoli leads Infront’s China subsidiary. He is responsible for all projects and further expansion of Infront's business across China. Ma Guoli is known not just in China but throughout the sports world for his role as founder of CCTV-5, the first sports TV channel in China. With more than 20 years experience in the sports industry, Guoli was responsible for China’s television broadcast of the Asian Games from 1982 to 2002 working on six Summer Games and four Winter Games before becoming the Chief Operating Officer of BOB. In 2000 he was credited by a survey in the UK's Guardian newspaper as one of the Top 50 “Most Influential People in Sport”.


Infront Finland / Infront Sweden

Mikko Vanni, Managing Director

Mikko Vanni has worked in the sponsorship business since the mid 80s. Now his responsibility is to lead Infront’s entire Nordic operations. He serves as Managing Director of Infront Finland OY and Infront Sweden AB. Mikko Vanni is specialised in organising World Championship and European Championship events. He has held key roles working on the IIHF World Championship (1997 and 2003), EAA European Championships in Athletics 1994, IAAF World Championships (2005), ISU World Championships in Figure Skating (1999), FIS Nordic Ski World Championships 2001 and in several World Cup level events. Mikko was involved in coaching on a national level up until 1997. In addition to his broad experience in the field of sport, Mikko also has wide experience in organising cultural events.


Infront Germany

Ralf Koslowski, Managing Director
Together with Reinhardt Weinberger, Ralf Koslowski is joint Managing Director of Infront Germany. He brings over 15 years of broad sports media and marketing experience to the team. Prior to Infront, Ralf was Managing Director of Media Management Hamburg (MMH), a leading German sponsorship consultancy and IPTV specialist. He also spent more than six years with Sportfive as Senior Director of Sales, leading the sale of national and international sponsorship rights and the marketing of UEFA and DFB Cup matches. Ralf also holds valuable experience in publishing having worked at Axel Springer - the largest publishing house in Europe – where he headed the continent’s biggest sports magazine Sport Bild as General Manager.

 

 

 


Reinhardt Weinberger, Managing Director

Reinhardt Weinberger is the joint Managing Director of Infront Germany, together with Ralf Koslowski. Responsible for all Infront offices in Germany, including its headquarters in Frankfurt, Reinhardt leads an experienced team. He has been with the Infront Group since July 2007, following Infront's acquisition of DSM Sportwerbung, a leading sports advertising company in Germany. Reinhardt has more than 20 years experience in the industry and has specialised in all aspects of football sponsorship. Reinhardt was formerly a player in the 3rd Bundesliga and holds a Sportökonomie-Diploma from the University of Bayreuth.


Infront Hospitality Management

Markus Katschnig, Managing Director

Markus Katschnig is an experienced hospitality professional who joined Infront from the Berlin-based Kofler & Kompanie, one of the leading catering organisations in Europe. He was responsible for K&K’s catering operations at the 2010 FIFA World Cup™ in South Africa this summer and in 2008, Markus was involved in the UEFA EURO™ hospitality operation. His background is in event hospitality, originally working for the Austrian catering company DO&CO. He has a degree in Business Administration from the University of Vienna.


Infront Italy

Giuseppe Ciocchetti, Managing Director

Prior to joining Infront Italy, Giuseppe Ciocchetti spent more than 10 years working for the Italian merchant bank Sopaf S.p.A.. His last role at Sopaf was as CFO of the entire Group and CEO of the real estate division. He joined Infront Italy (formerly Media Partners) in June 2000 and took the responsibility for the overall company structure and organisation as well as for the development of the corporate and financial strategy of Infront Italy. In his current position he oversees all the activities and business areas of the Milan-based company. Giuseppe holds an Economic and Business degree from Bocconi’s University in Milan.


Infront Motor Sports

Paolo Flammini, CEO

Paolo Flammini’s early career, after graduating with honours in Economics and Commerce in 1988, was in stock broking on the Milan Stock Exchange. He first became involved in motorsport in 1993, when he joined the Flammini Group. In 1996 Paolo was responsible for bringing together all companies involved in the management of the Superbike World Championship, through a joint-venture agreement with the Interpublic Group. Octagon Motorsport, of which Paolo became Chief Executive Officer, was created from this joint-venture. In 2003, together with his brother Maurizio, he took over 100% of the Octagon Motorsport Group, which was renamed FG Sport. As CEO, Paolo promoted the huge growth of the Superbike World Championship until 2007, when FG Sport was purchased by Infront.


Infront Ringier Sports & Entertainment Switzerland

Armin Meier, Managing Director
Armin is Managing Director of the newly formed joint-venture, Infront Ringier Sports & Entertainment. He has been involved in sports marketing for the last 10 years, but his initial career was spent as a successful professional cyclist (1995-2001). He took part in the Tour de France three times and the Giro d'Italia twice. He also raced in the Vuelta Espana and Tour de Suisse (six times). He was twice Swiss Road champion, in 1996 and 1999. He began his career in sports marketing at IMG (International Management Group) in Switzerland. Within five years he progressed from Sales Assistant to the role of Managing Director of IMG (Switzerland) AG. From 2006-2010, as Managing Director, he was responsible for the repositioning of the company in Switzerland.  He joined the Infront Group in 2011.


Football Media Services (FMS)

Michael Francombe, Managing Director

Michael Francombe is an Oxford University graduate and qualified lawyer with more than 16 years’ experience in sports marketing. Michael has previously worked for Kirch Sport (formerly Prisma). In 2002 Michael was appointed Executive Director, Legal Affairs at Infront with responsibility for all legal aspects relating to the 2002 & 2006 FIFA World Cup™ media rights. He was also a member of the Executive Committee. Since 2006, Michael has headed Football Media Services in Singapore, a joint venture between Infront and the Japanese advertising company, Dentsu, which has been appointed by FIFA as its exclusive sales representative in Asia with respect to the distribution of broadcast rights to the 2010 & 2014 FIFA World Cups™ and other FIFA Events 2007-2014.
