Misano Adriatico, Italy, 19 June 2009 - Starting from this coming weekend’s San Marino Round of the FIM Superbike World Championship at the Misano World Circuit in Italy, the races of the world’s leading production-based racing series will now also be broadcast in high definition.

With the arrival of HD in World Superbike, Infront Motor Sports wishes to offer its numerous Superbike fans worldwide this true innovation in the field of global motorcycle racing. World Superbike now becomes one of the leading championships in the world for quality and technological innovation in TV broadcasting.

The last seven rounds of the 2009 season will be available in high definition exclusively on Eurosport HD, the high definition simulcast of Eurosport.

The HD standard will allow TV viewers to appreciate every detail of what the television cameras cover during the races. In comparison with the current digital standard format, image quality and definition is up to five times superior.
