Zug, Switzerland, 5 November 2007 – Infront Sports & Media has announced that Henkel, manufacturer of many high quality brands and technologies, is to be the Official Sponsor of the upcoming 2008 Men’s European Championship, exclusively in the product categories of detergents, adhesives and cosmetics.

The European Handball Federation’s (EHF) major event, will take place from 17-27 January 2008 in Norway, brings together Europe’s best men’s handball teams. The line-up includes established handball countries from Scandinavia, as well as Germany, Spain, France and Russia, as well as successful teams from smaller countries such as Croatia and Slovenia.

This will be the second time, after 2006 in Switzerland, that Henkel has been involved with a Handball European Championship. A pan-European event, the tournament is a perfect communication platform to raise awareness in their core markets while further implementing positive image in the fast-growing European market.

With the agreement, Henkel secures strong, visible presence during the event through perimeter advertising, product promotion and branding on referees’ shirts. Here Henkel has a very special visibility, because the referees have the Henkel claim “Henkel-A brand like a Friend” on their shirts to underline the fair play approach in this sport.
