Infront's subsidiary APF holds the marketing rights in two major Skiing events
APF, an Infront company, is one of the world’s leaders in the marketing of winter sports. It holds the exclusive worldwide marketing rights to the biennial FIS Alpine World Ski Championships and the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships, starting with the 2007 events in Åre (Sweden) and Sapporo (Japan).
The 2009 FIS Alpine World Ski Championships will take place in Val d'Isère (France) from February 3–15. The 30th edition of the event will be France's third FIS World Championship event following Chamonix in 1937 and 1962. Val d'Isère is to host a total of 11 competitions in six different disciplines: Downhill, Super-G, Slaloms, Giant Slalom, Super Combined and the mixed team Nations Cup event. More than 65 nations are expected to compete.
The 2009 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships will be held in Liberec (Czech Republic) from February 18 to March 1. Liberec will host 20 competitions in three different disciplines, Ski Jumping, Cross-Country and Nordic Combined, including the first time ever women's ski jumping competition. Based on the participation in the previous event, more that 40 nations are expected to take part.
Both events have the same marketing structure, with ten, respectivley eleven well-defined packages offering companies product category exclusivity and a range of advertising and promotional opportunities.
