Luge

Infront works with the international governing body of the sport of luge, FIL, handling marketing rights for the World Cup, Challenge Cup, European and World Championships.

Dramatic & exciting ice sport

The Olympic discipline of luge is a dramatic and exciting ice sport, requiring great courage and skill.  The athletes – feet first on sledges – shoot downhill through the curves of artificial ice tracks, reaching very high speeds and withstanding considerable G force.

Luge is particularly popular in the alpine regions, especially in Germany, Austria and Northern Italy. Its premier events - the World Cup, Challenge Cup and World Championship races- reach a wide audience. According to professional research, FIL competitions are seen by a cumulative viewing audience of more than 350 million (in the above mentioned countries alone during a regular season). The success of the 2006 Olympic champion, Armin Zöggeler, attracted a cumulative audience of 341 million for luge in Germany alone, with more than 22 hours of programming.

Infront has designed a variety of sponsorship packages for the 2006/2007 season, offering companies a wide variety of options across a range of events. Because of the unusually high degree of exclusivity for event sponsors (a maximum of four) companies have a strong, clear platform to promote their brands and products.
