Rights opportunities
Infront Sports & Media is handling all the rights to the archive, in a first-ever attempt to offer a complete library and full service to producers, television networks and all other media operators keen to access the footage. The historic compilation of material covers 1954 up to and including this season. Archive rights are offered for exploitation on both traditional and new media platforms from nine days after the event.
The footage provides some of the best archive material available. It offers close-up and slow motion shots in high quality and sharp focus. The archive allows fans that all important recall of their teams’ most unforgettable heritage and moments.
Technical support
The match feeds are sent for archive exploitation directly from the stadia to Infront’s Master Control Room via fibre optics in order to fully preserve their quality. The archive footage is then extracted from the international feed, which also includes pre and post-match sequences to offer a deeper perspective of the game. The material is digitalized and indexed via state-of-the-art technical facilities that enable online searches of the entire archive.
Licensees can screen, make queries on the database, select and create their own edit decision lists. The identified footage will then be at their disposal to edit clips or to produce programs. Alternatively, Infront football experts and producers can perform the editing activities in dedicated technical facilities and tailored to the broadcaster’s customised needs – be it a focus on the players, teams or historical goals.
