High brand visibility across Germany
Kim Schäfer, Marketing Manager of Tropical Islands, said: “With the impressive entry into the semi-finals of the DFB Cup and strong performances over the whole season, FC Energie Cottbus has gained sympathy points across Germany. As an advertising board partner - the increased media attention on the team over the 2010/11 and previous two seasons has already been of benefit. We now want to further intensify the cooperation with the club. The young and likeable team alongside the high-profile games of the 2nd Bundesliga build an attractive environment to increase the brand visibility of Tropical Islands in Germany.”
Ulrich Lepsch, president of FC Energie Cottbus, added: “Infront kept its word and sold our jersey in time for the first match day. We are grateful and delighted to have a main sponsor on board that holds a regional reference to the club as well as a positive charisma as partner. The tropical resort with its adventurous character traits fits brilliantly with our young team and our approach - offering sporty, emotional and engaging experiences to our fans. In this respect, the ambitions and target groups of Tropical Islands and FC Energie Cottbus match perfectly.”
“With Tropical Islands we were able to win a regionally rooted company with country-wide focus as a partner on the highest sponsorship level,” says Reinhardt Weinberger, CEO of Infront Germany. “The fact that Tropical Islands has opted for an expansion of the existing partnership is a confirmation of the high-value advertising environment at FC Energie Cottbus and the club’s target-oriented cooperation with its sponsors.”
