InfrontRingier officially takes over the organisation and marketing of the Tour de Suisse from today

Vaudoise Insurance remains Presenting Sponsor aligned with a new brand environment for the Tour de Suisse - already online at www.tds.ch

Zug, Switzerland – As of today, InfrontRingier Sports & Entertainment Switzerland is taking on the complete organisation and marketing of the Tour de Suisse on behalf of Swiss Cycling with the next edition of the cycling tour held from 13 to 21 June 2015.

A new modern brand identity for the Swiss cycling highlight has been introduced by branding specialists at Infront Sports & Media, the parent company of InfrontRingier. The visual appearance communicates the central characteristics of the Tour de Suisse - Swiss values aligned with the dynamics of cycling, as part of an international premium race with strong fan affiliation. A first look into the new brand environment and future vision of the Tour de Suisse is now available on the new event website www.tds.ch.

Tour de Suisse presented by Vaudoise

Vaudoise remains an integral part of the future Tour de Suisse. InfrontRingier has secured the insurance group, which is already a partner of Swiss Cycling, as Presenting Sponsor of the event. As part of the collaboration, Vaudoise receives extensive advertising and promotional rights and will carry out its sponsorship activation in and around the individual race stages as well as through the framework programme.

“As a sponsor of the two largest cycling events in the country and as most important partner of the national governing body, Vaudoise has confirmed its support for the sport of cycling and its athletes,” explains Philippe Hebeisen, CEO of Vaudoise Insurance. “We want to be more than just a sponsor. As a true partner we want to give an interesting added value and contribute to the success of the event. The tour will be followed by many fellow citizens with great interest and convey a message with personal importance for me: We want to be close to our customers.”

Kick-off in Zug, final weekend in Bern

More intensive engagement with the fans and spectators is a clear goal of the new format for the Tour de Suisse from 2015 onwards. In order to continue appealing to an attractive field of cyclists, InfrontRingier is keeping a focus on ensuring a challenging and varied racing route through Switzerland. At the start and end of the cycling tour individual stages will be newly introduced around two central hubs. The start weekend will take place in the region of Zug and the final weekend in Bern. At these hubs, spectators of all ages will be offered versatile entertainment and activities in addition to the top sport.

Olivier Senn, General Director of the Tour de Suisse from 2015 onwards, said: “The Tour de Suisse is to become a festival for the whole family. We want to inspire even more people in Switzerland to support cycling and increase the appeal of the Tour de Suisse both nationally and internationally. With the new brand environment, the Tour de Suisse is presenting a forward-thinking event that at the same time remains true to its roots.”
