The Organising Committee – including Infront France – honoured with gold award at the Grand Prix Stratégies du Sport for 2017 IHF World Men's Handball Championship
Paris, France – Infront France, the French arm of Infront Sports & Media, a Wanda Sports Group company, as part of the Organising Committee has been awarded gold at the Grand Prix Stratégies du Sport for the global communication campaign of the 2017 IHF World Men's Handball Championship.
The event was staged in eight cities across France from 11-29 January 2017 under the slogan 'Phénoménal Handball'.

To create enthusiasm across the entire nation, the French Handball Federation (FFHB) entrusted the overall management of the Organising Committee to two agencies to offer an unprecedented communication platform and a performance-orientated operation in order to:
- Promote and develop the image and revenues of the event in France and internationally
- Sensitise, involve and encourage the appropriation of the event by all stakeholders
- Inform before, during and after the event
- Leave a solid legacy for handball and host territories
From the selection of service providers to the on-site implementation, Infront France was in charge of the entire strategy concerning the promotion and the marketing of this international event (ticketing, communications, sponsorship and hospitality programmes).
The 'Phénoménal Handball' campaign reached a record 560 million people in 176 countries, generating sales of more than 540,000 tickets and a cumulative TV audience of 9.6 million for the France vs Norway final (8.6 million on TF1 and 1 million on beIN SPORTS) where the French national handball team won their sixth world title.
