Zug, Switzerland – Infront, the leading international sports marketing company, has appointed Julien Ternisien as Director of its reorganised Summer Sports Business Unit. Infront's Summer Sports unit has enjoyed tremendous growth and in a bid to maintain its first-class service to clients and stakeholders alike, Infront has separated the hitherto combined Football and Summer Sports units from a management and leadership perspective.
Stephan Herth, who up until Ternisien's appointment had been leading both thriving units, will now focus exclusively on football. Ternisien will take up his new role as Director Summer Sports latest by May 1st, 2018, following which Herth will ensure a smooth and seamless transition of all business.
Ternisien joins Infront, a Wanda Sports company, from the European Broadcasting Union (EBU/Eurovision), where he was Head of Sports Rights for its Summer Sports portfolio following four years at Eurosport. In his leadership capacity at Infront, Ternisien will report directly to Philippe Blatter, President & CEO of Infront.
Philippe Blatter: "I am delighted that Julien Ternisien will be joining Infront to further develop and expand our Summer Sports business. He brings with him extensive experience in rights acquisition as well as an impressive network of leading sports federations. At the same time I am happy that Stephan Herth can now place his sole focus on driving our continued success in football, a core business of Infront and part of our DNA."
