Corporate running series continues expansion into Balkan region with New Belgrade event
Zug, Switzerland — Infront and its subsidiary B2Run, Europe's leading corporate running series, have expanded into Serbia after announcing a new event on Thursday. It is the latest in a series of moves in the Balkan region following the launch of events in Croatia and Bosnia earlier this year.
The first Serbian race, set to take place on 4 October 2018 in Belgrade, will be hosted by Stratego Group. They will be in charge of the coordination of B2Run events in Serbia through central guidance from B2Run.
Stratego Group has developed great experience in both the personal and corporate fitness field and mass participation events over the last few years, hosting events such as BORN2SKI Festival and other B2B Run events in this region.
The run, which will follow the B2Run format of a 5km route, will be held in New Belgrade, the main business district of Serbia and a major corporate hub in southeast Europe. Both local and international companies will form teams and compete against each other for a great after-work event in the Serbian capital.
Registrations are already open. After designating a team captain, companies can sign up their teams via the following link: https://www.b2run.rs/run/rs/rs/company/prijava/index.html
Staging 45 events across 11 countries

With the addition of the Belgrade run, B2Run will now stage 45 events across 11 countries including Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, South Africa, Spain and Switzerland. This year, around 250,000 participants will run in B2Run events all over the world.
Hans-Peter Zurbruegg, Infront Vice President of Personal & Corporate Fitness: "The addition of Serbia to our event locations represents another important step both for B2Run's expansion and for Serbian runners and companies. We are excited to be working with Stratego Group who have a proven track record in hosting major mass participation events and will ensure the B2Run brand and the Belgrade event grow hand in hand. We are also glad to be offering Serbian companies the perfect platform to improve health, cohesion and team spirit among their employees."
Amela Mehic, CEO at Stratego Group, added: "More and more companies are actively working on building business culture, community and team spirit through sport and healthy lifestyle. We believe that B2Run is a strong platform to help assist companies in creating that positive and stimulating corporate culture. This unique event will bring together employees and connect them outside their usual working environment. After the decade-long success of B2Run events in over 40 cities around the world, bringing together more than 250,000 participants from numerous companies, B2Run will bring a true delight for the business community of Serbia this autumn."
The new website b2run.rs is already live and features all information regarding event, registrations and how to best prepare for the run, as well as photos from other B2Run events.
B2Run, an Infront company, is Europe’s largest corporate running series and has recorded significant growth since it was founded in 2004. In 2018, the 6km runs will be held in German, Swiss, Portuguese, Romanian, Spanish, Dutch, Polish, Serbian and South African cities with up to 45 separate events planned and around 250,000 people taking part in a B2Run each year, offering companies attractive platforms for unique employee events. In Germany, the country where it originated, B2Run is the fastest-growing and largest running series, targeting a record attendance of approximately 195,000 participants from over 9,500 companies with 17 events in 2018.
