New partnership marks first time French women's sports property has secured naming partner
Paris – BUTAGAZ, the French energy company, has been named Title Sponsor of the French Women's Handball League following a landmark agreement secured by Infront on behalf of the Ligue Francais Handball (Women Handball League).
It marks the first time in French sport that a women's event has secured a title sponsor, with the championship renamed to the "Ligue BUTAGAZ Energie".
The three-year agreement includes a new logo and visual identity with BUTAGAZ set to benefit from broad exposure across the league's full range of marketing assets.
Jean-François Jeanne, Managing Director of Infront France said: "Women's handball has always been hugely popular in France and the Women's EHF EURO 2018 at the end of last year brought into context how broad and effective the platform could be for sponsors. BUTAGAZ has recognised this and I am delighted to welcome them as a partner."
