Renewal of partnership between Infront Germany and Werder Bremen

Zug, Switzerland / Bremen, Germany, 27 August 2008 – Infront Sports & Media has announced today the renewal of the successful partnership between Infront Germany and Werder Bremen by another 11 years, until the 2018/19 season of the German Bundesliga.

The agreement covers not only stadium advertising rights for the Weser-Stadium in Bremen but also the marketing of the main sponsorship package, including shirt advertising. The degree of collaboration between the two parties will be intensified and will provide more scope for long-term planning for both parties.

 

The Infront Group sees this agreement as a very important extension of Infront Germany’s core business – Bremen is one of the Bundesliga’s top clubs. It has qualified for the Champions League for the fifth time in a row, has high sympathy values and a strong fan base with impressive loyalty to the Club as well as a highly respected management.

 

One of the most innovative football stadiums in Europe
The Weser-Stadium is due to be renovated shortly and rebuilt as one of the most innovative football stadiums in Europe. The home of Werder Bremen will set new standards for sports, architecture and energy management. It will become a pure football stadium without a running track and the new roof will be covered with more than 20,000 square metres of solar panels, thus providing its own renewable energy. A new, streamlined facade will transform the external appearance of the stadium in an elegant and homogenous way and there will be new hospitality areas with business and VIP seats.

 

Werder Bremen’s Managing Director Marketing and Management, Manfred Müller, added: “We are very happy to working for another eleven years with Infront Sports & Media, an excellent agency with an extensive international network and strong regional roots.
