Poland signs up for 2006 FIFA World Cup™ - Coverage now in place for all qualified nations
TVP acquired the rights to transmit 32 matches live on Free-TV, including all matches of the Polish national team, the opening match and the final which takes place on July 9th in Berlin. TVP is Poland's public broadcaster and has the largest TV market share in the territory.
Telewizja Polsat has purchased a rights package that includes 32 matches for Free-TV exploitation (excluding the matches granted to TVP) and all 64 matches for its Pay-TV platform. Polsat is the leading commercial television network in Poland and is an existing partner of Infront, as the rights holder for the 2002 FIFA World Cup Korea/Japan™.
Both agreements are exclusive for the territory of Poland in the Polish language.
