Infront invests in innovative LED venue advertising system
International sports marketing agency to acquire state-of-the-art, specifically developed LED board systems from market leader Imago
Infront Sports Services division provides event organisers with a full range of venue dressing and communication solutions. Its services include design, provision, erection and maintenance of all kinds of advertising and signage: from perimeter advertising, towers and bibs to information signs.
Strengthen positioning as ‘full service agency’
Rolf Weigel, Director Sport Services at Infront, in charge for Infront’s venue advertising solutions, said: “We made the decision to choose the Imago system after a comprehensive analysis of a much- consolidated and advanced LED board market and a lot of testing, which we carried out during the past few months. Our expert team will also implement all related services including operations and content production in the future.”

We take the description ‘full service agency’ and also our positioning as an investor in innovation very seriously. There is already considerable interest from many key clients.”

The first system will be delivered in the fourth quarter of this year and the second at the start of 2010. The relationship between Infront and Imago goes beyond the purchase of the two systems as both partners aim at further increase the availability of the system through its respective networks.
Rotating systems will continue to flourish
Infront’s well-established Space & Time will continue to flourish alongside the LED systems, because it is still an ideal system in terms of quality, reliability, efficiency, impact and on-screen brand visibility. It also suits many events with a smaller technical budget. Space & Time is still used widely in across the world, including for matches of the German and Italian Football Federation, in many stadiums of the German Bundesliga, Italy’s Serie A, all stadiums of the Swiss Football League as well as the Chinese Basketball League (CBA). Since 1997, it has been marketed in North America, in use for more than 200 teams and venues in professional sports, including the NHL, NFL, MLB and NBA. The system has also been running at many EHF Euro events as well as two IHF World Championships in handball.

Infront acquired the Imago LiveAd Twelve 100 MAGNUM system, which represents the latest technology available on the market. The system has been developed for easy transport and logistics, providing the flexibility to move the system from event to event in the matter of hours. It is stackable and can easily be converted into a video screens for events, concerts and public viewing. Its technology has been designed to work well for close-ups, displaying accurate sponsor colours, great contrast and the perfect white. It is player-safe.
