Zug, Switzerland/Dortmund, Germany, 10 February 2011 - Infront Sports & Media, the marketing partner of the German Football Association (DFB) for the DFB national games and the DFB Cup, has contracted three leading companies as advertising partners for the qualification and friendly matches of the men’s national team. Engelbert Strauss (workwear/safety), Kyocera (information technologies) and Flyeralarm (printing house) will each be involved in both the home and away matches of the national team. The companies benefit from prominent stadium advertising in camera view as well as the millions of viewers that these games traditionally attract.

New partners and excellent TV figures
At last night’s friendly match between Germany and Italy in Dortmund, Engelbert Strauss, Kyocera and Flyeralarm - market leaders in their respective industries - were positioned for the first time together. Along with other DFB advertising partners such as Deutsche Post, Commerzbank, Deutsche Telekom, Mercedes-Benz and Bitburger Brauhaus, the three companies benefitted from excellent TV figures in Germany. The game reached an average audience of 11.62 million viewers, leading to a 34.8% market share. This result underlines once more the high value of the DFB national games as a platform for brand communication.

In addition to the excellent TV figures, Engelbert Strauss, Kyocera and Flyeralarm will also benefit from attractive hospitality options as well as Infront’s first class services for the implementation of advertising agreements.

Successful ‘double production’
Infront, in cooperation with broadcast partners ARD and RAI has realised a ‘double production’ in response to the marketing rights for the game being shared by the participating national associations. The production includes two separate main cameras that shoot from both sides of the pitch capturing the board images relevant for the two individual TV broadcasts to Germany and Italy. As a result, for the first time in a DFB national game, two state-of-the-art Infront LED systems work side by side to cover all key advertising for both markets (a total length of 350 meters) around the entire pitch.

Infront’s Sports Services Team also coordinated the production of the Italian public broadcaster RAI onsite with the company ultimately running all key marketing and service aspects of yet another major sports event.
