Official WorldSBK.com website gets a makeover

Language Versions: EN  DE

Phillip Island, Australia, 25 February 2011 - The official WorldSBK.com website received a cosmetic restyling just in time for the opening round of the 2011 FIM Superbike World Championship, which takes place this weekend at Phillip Island (Australia).

To keep abreast of the growing status of the championship, WorldSBK.com has now cleaner new graphics, a new home page layout, more information about circuits, riders, teams and bikes, more interactivity as well as being more user-friendly.

In addition to the English, Italian and German versions that were already available, the website is now produced in two more languages – French and Spanish – in order to reflect World Superbike’s increasing penetration into the major European markets.

The home page has also now a double format, switching automatically between ‘on’ and ‘off’ race modes to reflect the greater flow of information available during the weekend events on the calendar.

The site will obviously continue to be a constant source of official news, images, results and standings for fans of the production-based Superbike, Supersport and Superstock series. Tickets and Travel are prominent to cater for the travel needs of all SBK fans, while new content includes dedicated sections on World Superbike history, rules and regulations and a special SBK Village area.

Further new contents will be launched at a future date. These will include the new SBK Energy Zone project in March, a free access area for registered users, including Media professionals, that will provide exclusive videos, images, a selection of top media articles, promotional activities and opportunities, including the SBK Facebook grandstand project.

Infront Advanced Media Solutions

The official SBK website is produced through a collaboration between Infront Motor Sports and Infront Advanced Media Solutions, a dedicated competence centre for the distribution of new media sports rights located in Milan, Italy.

Infront Advanced Media Solutions (IAMS) is a one-stop-shop for producing, delivering, protecting and billing new media content, to help clients obtain additional exposure for their events. The company produces a variety of tailor-made new media services and broadcast programmes, including magazine programmes for the FIS Ski World Cup, the FIM Superbike World Championship, the Euroleague (Euroleague.tv) and Serie A. From this season onwards, it is also managing Milan Time, the web-TV of AC Milan.
